People living in Arlington VA real estate might wonder what there is to do in the area when they are not working or at school. This is after all one of the smallest counties in the entire United States, and the city of Arlington is minuscule compared to some of its neighbors, the answer is not much. In fact you have to look pretty hard to find something in the town to do after working a strapping machine all day, or be a little bit creative. With the help of this guide, we think we can get you pointed in the right direction for the second.

Sports have always played a minor role in the entertainment part of Arlington, although the size of the role has waxes and waned through the years. You won't find the attention to sports as you would in a hockey school in Toronto up north, or even in baseball camps and so on to the east in DC. Still, there are sports worth watching coming out of Arlington, at the high school and recreational levels anyway. And if you have kids, it's always a good idea to register them for the soccer or baseball leagues that the city runs.

People who love the great outdoors won't have a lot of trouble figuring out a few things to do in the spaces surrounding Arlington. The county has many miles of bike trails, which run throughout the town and along the length of the historic Potomac River. Get your exercise in while you bike along and enjoy the scenery, both natural and that created through the shrewd use of growers supplies by the local government. One of the favorite trails is the Washington and Old Dominion Trail which connects the entire county, and almost all of its historic sites.

Speaking of historic sites, if you like Americana then you will love the many things there are to see and do around Arlington. The town has been home to some of the country's most famous residents, including George Washington and many of his descendants and Civil War Confederate general Robert E Lee. Many a Durham Region Caterer and tourists from other places make the journey to the old plantations and homes in the area every year. Not only do you get to walk where the great men and women of our history did, you will probably learn something as well.

And finally, if you just feel like you have used up your entertainment options right in the county, the good news is that there are a lot more things to do close by. Great transportation means you can buy a spa package in Massachusetts, take the train into DC for a concert, and do many other things based out of the Arlington area.
